Working an industrial placement year at Croydex was my first introduction to the working life of a true industrial designer. I learnt to work to short deadlines, tight safety standards and extremely pressed lead times from concept to production. A high level of photo-realistic rendering ability was a necessity and communication with China through detailed technical drawings became a daily operation. I was fortunate enough to be given the task of designing a premium range of products which were displayed at the 2006 KBB exhibition at the NEC in the UK.
